Bingo Long II: AIM, Modern Draft, DH/Non-DH, version 3: 4/11/15 Not designed for replays. INSTALLATION Bingo Long II consists of the four following files: MgrLong2.dct, MgrLong2.msy, MgrLong2.mob, MgrLong2.lib In order to use Long II all four of those files for each manager must be placed in the proper folder for them to work. That folder depends on which game you are using as well as operating system. Here's where to place them: If you are using APBA Baseball for Windows 5.75 then to install the managers unzip each manager file and move the four enclosed files into your "MicroManagers" folder. That folder is located here (the wording may be slightly different depending on what operating system you have): C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Documents\APBA Games\Baseball\MicroManagers If you're using BBW 5.5, the files can be placed in the BBW folder or directory. If you can't find the above "MicroManagers" folder then do a search in "My Computer" for that folder. Remember that it has two capital "M"s. Note: You may place the files into a BBW season sub-directory or folder, e.g., U-1999.wdd, but Long will only be available if that season is loaded in League Manager. OVERVIEW Bingo Long II is essentially a clone of replay manager Felipe Hernandez (modern, ca. 1990, AIM, replay) but he uses grade instead of saves for closer determination. So, if you're familiar with Hernandez, you should recognize Long. Other than the grade for saves switch, he's identical. Because he uses grades over saves, Long is better suited for draft leagues than Hernandez. Long II is nearly identical to Long I with the major difference that you must bench your rotation with f-files. Otherwise, any and every pitcher available may be used in relief. Pitching: Modern, circa 1990, relief strategies, e.g., quick hook for a starter w/few complete games, with use of setup relievers and "one-batter" relief specialists (usually lefties). Superclosers (may be used in the 8th but generally one inning types): relieving grades of 17 and higher Closers (used in 8th with QR=2 or less, otherwise one inning only): grades of 13-16. Other: again, modern replay oriented. Adjust strategies based on roster provided. Steals based on actual attempts with steal rating/success ignored (risky for draft leagues).
