Jake Conley - 1900-40's Manager Developed by Larry Bubb Conley is an AIM manager designed to be used in 1900-1945 time period, dead ball era teams. He is designed to let the starters pitch many innings per game and will give you more CG's in keeping with the style of play in the era. His basepath strategies are also more aggressive as this ear wasn't a longball era, mainly using the H&R. Notes: - Does not use the whole roster, no reserve with 15+ G, except for injury subs. - Will use pitchers as subs. - Uses fewest number of players to steal, with few attempts (3-34). Waits for a hit to be aggressive. - Lowest sacrifice bunts (0-3). - Uses only a few select SP's in relief for a low number of IP. SP's Average of 8.0 IP per game, above average. High number of complete games (66-70), with many spot starts needed (8-14). RP's Average of 2.0 IP per game, low saves (2-5). - Doesn't see a closer, uses a committee if needed. - dead-ball era - doesn't use bullpen, more complete games for starters - aggressive on bases when hit & run, but not stealing - doesn't use defensive replacements, sticks with top 8 players
