NARCISSE BERGERON I: AIM, Modern/Post-War Draft Manager, 2017 version Installation Instructions: Narcisse Bergeron consists of the following four files: MgrBrgn1.lib, MgrBrgn1.mob, MgrBrgn1.msy, MgrBrgn1.dct Installation: If you're using APBA 5.5 or earlier then you must copy or move each of these four files into your BBW directory or folder. If you are using APBA 5.75 then the above files must be placed in the "MicroManagers" folder. GENERAL STUFF Pitching Overview: Bergeron sets aside internally a starting rotation. However,a starter may be used in relief late if a team's bullpen is thin (e.g., down to two relievers). NB judges closers by saves. "Normal" type closers have 10 or more saves while "super" type closers will have 20+ saves. Super closers will be used more aggressively than normal closers. Generally more conservative with bullpen usage than the other Cajun managers or Miller programs. If you've got multiple closers (determined by the above standards), he will likely use a bullpen by committee approach using all of the closers. He'll usually save the top rated closer and spot use the other closer types as setup guys. He'll use multiple inning closers (e.g., more than one inning for a save). Other Areas: Difficult to give much details here as many of his strategies such a PHing or stealing, et cetera are based on the type of players/roster he's given. This version is a bit more aggressive trying to manufacture runs - PHing, bunting guys over, et cetera - than earlier versions of Bergeron. Not greatly so; but it may be noticeable in certain situations involving high grade opposing pitchers or weak hitters. NB has a blowout sub strategy, likes to use itchy relievers in lopsided games for a batter to remove their itchy status, et cetera. A good test to see how he manages is to run him with your team for a good 30-40 games in LM. You should be able to get a good idea as to how he manages.
