Showboat Walker II, Version 3: non-AIM, 1930s Decade Managers Cards Replay Micromanager: 2015 Edition. Note: You will need a copy of a season managers' cards in order for Showboat to manager properly. Without the cards, Showboat will not manage correctly. SHOWBOAT WALKER II: 1930's SPECIALTY DECADE REPLAY MANAGER Installation Instructions: Showboat Walker consists of the following four files: Mgr30sII.lib, Mgr30sII.msy, Mgr30sII.msy, Mgr30sII.dct If you are using BBW 5.5 or earlier versions you must copy or move each of these four files into your BBW directory or folder. If you are using APBA 5.75 then the above four files must be placed in your MicroManagers folder that is located separately from the game in a different folder. OVERVIEW OF MANAGERIAL STRATEGIES/STYLE Showboat Walker II is a 1930s decade non-AIM manager that uses manager's "cards" as keys when making managerial decisions. You cannot use Walker II without the managers cards on each team's rosters. Otherwise, he will not operate correctly. Walker II is nearly identical to the AIM 1930s manager Showboat Walker with the exception that AIM must be OFF when he is being used. In addition to this manager, you must have a set of season managers' cards for the specific season being replays. Each season has a set of cards to be used with a separate card or cards designed to handle each roster or team. The cards represent that team's manager or managers for the season. The cards have the identical name(s) such as Bucky Harris or Charlie Grimm or Joe McCarthy. In order to use the managers' cards, simply install the data disk with the cards in League Manager. The "disks" come in *.bck form and also as a commissioner or c-file. Once the disk is installed exit League Manager and go to Advanced Draft. Then load or select that season of cards. Then, next load the specific season you're replay, e.g, 1930 or 1935 et cetera. Next, simply drag and drop the specific manager for each team from the managers cards disk onto the specific roster. For example, if you're replaying the 1930 season, once you load the disk of managers cards, drag and drop Bucky Harris from the Detroit Tigers Managers onto the Detroit 1930 roster. Repeat this process for each manager. Note: some teams had more than one manager. Only drag and drop ONE of those managers onto the roster. After adding to each roster the card for their manager, I would suggest going into League Manager and injuring or benching each of the manager's cards. Although Walker II is programmed NOT to use these cards as players, you may see League Manager using one of these cards as a starting pitcher for a game. So, to prevent their use at any time, simply injure/bench them in League Manager. That's it. Then start the games. Walker II, like Walker, is programmed to "check" these managers cards when making decisions.
